What is OsteoSurvey?
Osteopaths throughout the United Kingdom are invited to participate in this survey conducted by the National Council for Osteopathic Research. We aim to update the profession’s understanding of the people who consult osteopaths, and the role that osteopaths play in the country’s health system. This will inform teaching and research priorities within the osteopathic profession as well as providing data for healthcare commissioners. Your participation will make a valuable contribution to the profession.
The last time we did a survey like this was nearly 10 years ago, and we will benefit from knowing if anything has changed in the nature and type of osteopathy practised, and the profile of patients seeking osteopathic care, over that time.
Can I take part?
If you were practicing clinical osteopathy during 2018 in private practice (not in the NHS) then yes, you can take part in the survey.
In the meantime, you can read the results of our previous survey (Fawkes et al, 2013) and the background work done in preparation for that survey (Fawkes et al, 2010).
